UNE Partnerships is seeking a passionate Health Educator to deliver engaging, nationally recognised training to Year 11 and 12 students completing the HLT33021 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance as part of our VET in Schools program.

The Opportunity

Based in schools within the Sydney’s South-West region, our learners will commence Year 11 & 12 in 2026 and complete the HLT33021 course as part of their HSC studies .

Our Educator will deliver weekly learning content and assessment guidance sessions in a classroom environment during school terms and be available for individual support via phone, email and online during agreed hours.

The ideal candidate will bring with them a blend of training delivery and industry experience. We welcome applicants from a diverse range of health discipline areas, including but not limited to nursing, allied health and general practice.

What we offer:

  • Location: Flexible on a hybrid working arrangement – work from home when not working at the schools. Successful candidate must be willing to travel to our schools across South-West Sydney.
  • Work type: Full time, permanent (part time considered)
  • Appointment commencing: Immediate.
  • Salary: The salary for this role is $89,000 FTE per annum plus super plus Motor Vehicle Allowance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Inspiring young learners through engaging weekly face-to-face workshops using UNE Partnerships’ proven curriculum
  • Assessing student work with constructive feedback that builds confidence and competence
  • Providing personalised support via phone, email and online platforms to ensure every student succeeds
  • Developing tailored Learning Support Plans for students with diverse needs
  • Proactively connecting with at-risk students to help them overcome barriers and stay on track
  • Supporting students while they are undertaking work placement
  • Collaborating with school staff and UNE Partnerships team to create seamless learning experiences

About you:

You will bring enthusiasm for education and a commitment to learner success, along with:

Essential:

  • TAE40116 and/or a higher qualification in the field of Adult or Vocational Education,
  • Vocational or tertiary qualifications in a relevant allied or primary health discipline
  • Industry experience in a relevant health care setting,
  • Current NSW Working With Children’s Check (WWCC)

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience in delivery and assessment of VET programs
  • Competency in using Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle) and video conferencing or virtual classroom systems (such as Teams)
  • Demonstrated understanding of engagement strategies for diverse learners
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
