QA / Business Analyst (Digital Products) – Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Quality Assurance/Business Analyst to support the delivery of high-quality digital products. This role sits within the product team and works closely with the Product Owner, engineering, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined, solutions meet business needs, and releases are thoroughly tested.

You will play a dual role -bridging business requirements and technical execution (BA), while also owning quality assurance processes (QA) across the product lifecycle.

We’re open to this role being fully remote or hybrid, based out of our Mornington HQ.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis (BA)

• Partner with the Product Owner to refine and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Translate business needs into clear, structured, and testable specifications
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions
• Identify gaps, edge cases, and dependencies in requirements
• Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritisation
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams

Quality Assurance (QA)

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
• Ensure acceptance criteria are met before release
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation, and best practices

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

• Experience in a BA, QA, or hybrid role within digital product teams
• Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Experience with test planning and execution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Desirable

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, TestRail, or similar
• Exposure to automation testing frameworks
• Experience working on web or mobile applications
• Understanding of APIs and basic technical concepts
