Complex Needs Support Worker – Mindarie

Summary:

As a Complex Needs Support Worker at Tuley, you will provide calm, consistent and professional support to a 25-year-old man with complex needs living with his family in Mindarie. This role is essential for fostering trust, promoting independence, and supporting safe participation in home and community life. Your work will directly enhance the participant’s wellbeing and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support at home and 2:1 support in the community
• Support with personal care, daily living skills and routine development
• Offer emotional reassurance and a stable, predictable presence
• Facilitate safe, enjoyable outings such as drives, the Zoo, parks and outdoor activities
• Maintain a calm, confident and emotionally regulated approach during behavioural challenges
• Uphold strong professional boundaries and build trust with the participant and family
• Work collaboratively with the family and other workers to ensure consistency of care

Qualifications:

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable, roadworthy vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• NDIS Quality, Safety & You Module Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Medication Administration and Manual Handling certificates (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience supporting people with communication differences and behavioural needs
• Ability to remain calm, confident and grounded under pressure
• Good physical fitness for active community support
• Interest in outdoor activities, animals, and community engagement
• Relevant qualifications (Cert III/IV in Individual Support) welcome but not essential — training provided
