Job Summary:

Tuley, a family-owned disability support organisation, is seeking experienced clinical nurses to provide safe and responsive nursing care for participants with disabilities in their homes. The role involves developing individualised care plans and ensuring their effective implementation through direct care and mentoring others. This casual position offers flexibility in working hours.

Skills:

– Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration

– Minimum 3 years of post-grad experience

– Experience in mental health is desirable

– Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

– Experience in training and mentoring staff

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

– High-level organisational and time-management skill

– Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines related to disability support.

– Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, including reflective practice and development of self and others.

– Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications, Word, Excel, Email, Internet, and CRM software.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop individualised care plans for participants with complex needs.

2. Provide direct care including subcutaneous injections, bowel care programs, catheterisation, wound care management, tracheostomy care, and gastrostomy tube feeding.

3. Ensure safe and effective implementation of care plans.

4. Mentor and train Disability Support Workers on nursing duties.

5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimise participant outcomes.

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.

2. Minimum 3 years of post-grad experience.

3. Current CPR and First Aid certifications

4. Experience in mental health is desirable.
