Test & Validation Electrician

Tritium is a global leader in DC fast charging technology, supporting the world’s transition to electric mobility. Our chargers are designed and built here in Brisbane and deployed around the world.

We’re looking for a trade-qualified Electrician who enjoys fault finding, hands-on testing, and working with advanced electrical systems, not just site installs.

This is a lab-based role supporting product testing, validation and troubleshooting of high-power DC fast chargers before they go to market.

The Role

You’ll work closely with engineers to:

• Set up and perform electrical tests on EV charging units and sub-assemblies
• Wire, modify and maintain electrical test rigs and equipment
• Fault find LV and 415VAC systems, as well as high-voltage DC systems (up to 1000V)
• Diagnose and root cause electrical issues in development units
• Record test results and complete clear documentation
• Maintain safe, organised test environments (5S and WHS)
• Support continuous improvement of test processes and equipment

This is hands-on electrical work in a controlled workshop/lab environment in air-conditioned comfort, not field service.

What We’re Looking For

• Cert III Trade Qualified Electrician (essential)
• Experience working with LV mains and 415VAC systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
• Comfortable working with high-voltage DC systems (training provided if needed)
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, switchboards, power systems or similar environments
• Strong safety mindset and documentation discipline

Highly regarded:

• Experience with power electronics, inverters, chargers or industrial equipment
• Experience using test equipment (power meters, scopes, loggers, etc.)
• Background in manufacturing, R&D, or product testing
