Summary:

The Buyer / Planner is responsible for end-to-end material planning and purchasing execution to support manufacturing operations at Tritium Power Solutions Lebanon, TN facility. The role translates demand and production requirements into actionable purchase orders, supplier commitments, and material plans to ensure uninterrupted production, optimized inventory levels, and on-time delivery to manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Review customer orders, forecasts, and production requirements to support material demand planning
  • Translate demand signals into executable purchase plans and supplier actions
  • Support development and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
  • Create, release, and manage purchase orders based on MRP / DRP outputs
  • Manage supplier acknowledgments, lead times, delivery commitments, and expedites
  • Proactively resolve material shortages and prevent production disruptions
  • Balance material availability with inventory and working capital targets
  • Perform “What If” scenarios to determine the impact (material & resources) of a change to the Demand Plan
  • Provide timely and accurate material availability and inventory status reporting
  • Maintain item master, vendor, BOM, lead time, and planning parameter accuracy in ERP
  • Support new product introductions, pilot builds, and engineering changes
  • Perform what-if analysis to evaluate demand or schedule changes
  • Participate in inventory optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Buyer, Buyer-Planner, or Materials Planning role
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a production environment
  • Hands-on experience with ERP / MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, material planning, and inventory control
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail with an execution-oriented mindset
