We are looking for a suitably experienced quality and compliance offer to fill the role of Quality
Officer (National), within our Vermont Head Office team.
About the Role
The Quality Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of corporate quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role plays a key part in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organisation.
Reporting directly to the ANZ QHSE Manager, the Quality Officer conducts internal audits, prepares
management reports, identifies gaps, and implements improvement plans, while working with limited supervision. All plans and proposed changes must be communicated and agreed upon with the QHSE Manager and approved by upper management, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintain and updating corporate quality management system aligned with ISO 9001 certification, and ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025, NATA requirements).
- Coordinate and conduct internal audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of quality documentation, including non-conformances, CAPAs, and audit reports.
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues.
- Develop and monitor corrective measures & risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the technical or service delivery process.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and report trends or areas for improvement.
- Periodic review of current processes and technology systems to improve efficiencies throughout the business. This is to include elements such as staff training.
- Review the organisation’s processes to ensure they align with the current policies.
- Deal with customer complaints and provide the tools to analyse the data to find the areas for improvement.
Required Experience
- +5 years’ experience in a Quality related role.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, and ISO 17025.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements Whitin an operational environment is desirable.
- Experience with audits and certifications.
- Skilled in risk assessments and investigations.
- Familiar with regulatory compliance and audits
- Strong report writing and data analysis.
- Confident with IT systems, data entry and MS Office.
- Practical knowledge of hazard control and emergency response.
- Willing to travel with overnight stays
