Direct Lifts specialises in supply and install of modern, eye-catching lifts and elevators throughout the east coast of Australia. Working closely with architects, builders and property owners we collaborate and design lifts to suit our clients’ requirements and decor.

Position Summary:

As an experienced Contracts Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects run smoothly from contract award through to final completion. You will be responsible for managing contract documentation, progress claim submissions, payments and reconciliation of claims, purchase orders, variations, retentions, compliance, and financial reporting — with a strong focus on maintaining commercial control and contractual clarity.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in contracts, including. adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Prepare review and administer contracts with clients.
  • Manage project documentation, including scope of works, progress claims and variations.
  • Work closely with project coordinators to monitor timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and safety compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.
  • Assist in procurement and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

What you will Bring

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Contracts Administrator preferably industry related.
  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards, Building Codes, and WHS requirements.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with experience using project or contract management software. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Legal, or similar (desirable), or extensive experience in similar role.
