Fabrication Assistant

Summary:

We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. The Production Assistant will support the production team in all aspects of the production process. This role requires excellent organisational skills, multitasking ability, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and fabricate using Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRP) to the company’s expected quality standard.
• Working with computer software such as Trello and Epicor.
• Liaising with team leaders for clear instructions, assistance and priorities.
• Liaising with the warehouse for supplies.
• Painting fibre-reinforced plastic products when required.
• Follow the process of the KanBan system when using inventory stock.
• General house cleaning, including a thorough tidy-up at the end of the day.
• Using general hand tools and power tools to replicate the specifications of the drawings to FRP material.
• Using basic machinery to fabricate FRP material, i.e. table saw, band saw.
• Maintaining a safe workplace at all times by reporting all incidents and hazards.
• Building and painting FRP material.
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year’s experience using power tools
• Demonstrated experience using hand and power tools
• Demonstrated working within a team environment
• Experience working in a dusty, noisy environment
• Experience with Trello
• Experience working in a diverse team environment
• Forklift Licensed required.
• Drivers’ license mandatory
