Does the thought of architecting a high-performance fleet strategy that keeps thousands of travelers moving across Australia and New Zealand get your engine revving?
Imagine seeing one of our iconic vans cruising the coastline and knowing that your strategic maintenance regime and technical leadership are the reasons that vehicle is safe, reliable, and ready for adventure. We are Travvia, the crew behind JUCY, Star RV, and Chill’d. We are looking for a commercially minded Head of Repairs and Maintenance to join our HQ team as the operational engine of our fleet.
The Ultimate Destination for Your Career
We are a team of adventure seekers who believe that the best journeys are built on a foundation of quality and safety. In this role, you hold primary ownership of our group-wide repairs and maintenance strategy for both proactive and reactive schedules across all fleets. You will drive long-term shareholder return by balancing proactive maintenance regimes with root-cause insights to keep our vehicles on the road and minimize R&M costs.
Fueling the Creative Journey
You have the autonomy to lead the selection and enhancement of our back-of-house technology to drive productivity and profitability. Your day-to-day involves owning the annual tender process for parts and services, managing high-value vendor relationships, and overseeing workshop inventory across all locations. You will collaborate closely with Country Heads of Operations and our technical crews to ensure our brand remains a leader in vehicle quality while creating a disciplined environment for our mechanics.
Why You Will Love Rolling With Us
Commercial and Technical Leadership
You will manage the R&M purchase requisition process, lead P&L reviews, and develop workshop productivity matrices to ensure we are operating at peak efficiency.
Safety and Excellence
You will be the guardian of our safety standards, maintaining vehicle manuals and ensuring every branch adheres strictly to Health and Safety legislation.
Adventure is in our DNA
You will enjoy amazing travel perks including generous friends and family discounts and five days of free van hire every year for your own road trips.
What You Bring to the Trip
To hit the ground running, you will need at least ten years of experience in fleet logistics or operations management. You are a data-driven leader who is comfortable managing budgets and using targeted dashboards to drive performance. We are looking for someone with advanced knowledge of vehicle compliance who can draft technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manage complex, high-value supplier SLAs. While a tertiary qualification in Business is a plus, your ability to be a critical planner and your technical workshop experience are what will truly drive your success.
If you are a tech-forward leader who loves the thrill of operational excellence and has a sense of adventure, we’d love to hear from you.
