Summary:

  • $38.09 to $43.48 per hour
  • Part-time – 24 hours per week
  • Above modern award wages (Children’s Services Award 2010)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the early years room, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
  • Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers, fostering strong relationships and encouraging their involvement in the educational process.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, documenting their development and planning for their future learning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment that respects diversity and encourages children’s social and emotional development.

To be successful:

  • qualifications and experience in the industry, with the ability to lead and enhance our high-standard educational programs.
  • provide effective and efficient leadership, support, and coordination for an early years educator team, ensuring that all educators are empowered to deliver quality educational experiences.
  • experience in coordinating services in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, while adhering to the National Quality Framework (NQF).
  • experience working closely with the Centre Manager, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional services.
