In this role, you can expect to:

  • Take charge of a vibrant Preschool program, leading a dedicated team of educators while ensuring alignment with the National Quality Framework and legislative requirements.
  • Design and evaluate engaging educational programs that cater to the unique needs of children, fostering their growth in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Work closely with parents and family members, encouraging their active involvement in their child’s learning journey and program development through a supportive Parent Committee.
  • Enhance your skills and knowledge by participating in tailored training programs, ensuring you stay at the forefront of early childhood education practices.
  • Play a crucial role in developing and implementing the Quality Improvement Plan, making a tangible difference in the educational outcomes for children of all abilities.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood), or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, with demonstrated experience in teaching in a pre-school environment.
  • VIT registration, a WwCC and experience in NQF, EYLF and VEYLDF.
  • An excellent understanding of and ability to apply and adopt relevant policies, standards, and regulations into the teaching program.
  • Sound knowledge of the issues and needs that affect young children and their families, and experience in applying strategies to support inclusive practice and positive outcomes for children.
  • Experience in providing a positive team culture through leadership and staff management.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
