Neighbourhood House Coordinator

In this role, you’ll
- Support the Tallangatta community by providing social, learning, and recreational opportunities to foster connectedness.
- Create an annual plan aligned with Neighbourhood House objectives and the Towong Shire Council Plan, in consultation with the local community.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate a variety of programs and events, including outreach
initiatives for smaller communities.
- Promote the Neighbourhood House programs to increase community engagement, while
managing the budget and seeking funding opportunities.
- Oversee daily operations of the Neighbourhood House, including maintenance, risk
management, and supervision of volunteers and staff.
What we’re looking for
- Tertiary qualification in community services, development or similar and/or extensive experience in the community sector.
- Understanding of Community Development principles, preferably in a Neighbourhood House setting, including experience relating to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in managing a budget and seeking funding opportunities.
- Proven administrative and organisational skills with the ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience leading a team (volunteers and/or staff).
A current Victorian Working with Children Check, driver’s licence and full Australian working rights are required for this role.
