Forklift Operator – Gillman

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Forklift Driver will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate high reach and counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks and manage palletised freight
• Perform put-away and retrieval tasks within the warehouse
• Inspect and maintain the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Follow all WHS policies and site procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift operator certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and physically capable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Freight or 3PL experience is a bonus
