We are currently seeking Multi Skilled Operators for our Cloncurry Copper Project mining operations at Wallace North & Great Australia Mine (GAM). The Role:
The role of a Multi Skilled Equipment Operator will require you to operate various equipment including but not limited to, Dump Trucks, Water Trucks, Graders, Dozers, Loader, Excavators, Roller & Haul Trucks as directed by the Mining Superintendent in a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible to contribute as a member of the production crew to achieve production targets.
About you:
As a Multi Skilled operator, you will have appx 2-5 years’ experience, preferably in the quarry and mining sector, operating in an open pit environment. You will be responsible for operating plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will have the ability to work within a team environment, and individually. You will hold relevant licences and nationally recognised competencies.
Key responsibilities
• Ensure all operation is carried out in compliance with company and WH&S policies and procedures.
• Ensure machinery is operated to optimum performance and in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Actively promote safe work practices
• Follow instructions by Supervisor for work location to be carried out in and around the pit.
• Report accidents and unsafe situations or hazards.
• Cleaning the machine’s cab area for the safety and comfort for all operators and keeping work areas free of material that could cause damage to other machines.
• Attend toolbox meetings.
To be successful you will need to have:
• Must hold relevant & accredited machine operating certificates.
• Must hold relevant RII tickets for Excavator, Dozer, Trucks, Grader, Roller, Loader.
• Pass D&A Screening and pre-employment medical in line with RSHQ health surveillance requirement.
• Hold a current National Police check.
• Hold a current Drivers licence.
• Exposure and 2-5 years’ experience in open cut mining environment
