Senior Project Land Developer

Melbourne CBD, Victoria 3000, Australia • Full-time

Description

Role Overview:

This role sits at the heart of Tilt Renewables’ growth strategy in Australia and offers a unique opportunity to help shape the next generation of renewable energy projects. As Australia accelerates its transition to a low-carbon energy system, Tilt Renewables is expanding its portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage projects, and this role will play a critical role in identifying and securing the sites that will power that future.

The Senior Project Land Developer leads the origination of new greenfield opportunities and is the first point of engagement with landowners and communities where our projects may be developed. Working at the intersection of origination strategy, land access and project development, this role is responsible for identifying promising locations, assessing their potential, and building the trusted landowner relationships that underpin successful renewable energy projects.

You will play a key role identifying opportunities aligned with existing or emerging transmission infrastructure, assessing land suitability, and developing a strategic pathway to secure the land required for renewable generation and supporting infrastructure. Through proactive engagement and strong relationship management, you will work with landowners to develop mutually beneficial agreements that enable the development, construction and long-term operation of our projects. These agreements may include:

  • Project Investigation Agreements
  • Land Option Agreements, including offset sites
  • Lease or purchase agreements
  • Easements and access rights
  • Crown land licences and other tenure arrangements

As a Senior Project Land Developer, you will spend significant time in the field meeting with landowners and stakeholders, representing the Tilt Renewables brand and building trusted relationships that support the long-term success of our projects. You will also work closely with our broader development, grid and land teams, providing insights from the field and helping shape how Tilt engages with landowners and communities across our portfolio.

This is a role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on engagement, and who is motivated by the opportunity to help unlock the land and partnerships needed to deliver Australia’s clean energy future.

  • Negotiation of Land Agreements: Lead negotiations and execution of key land agreements required to progress renewable energy projects.

  • Market and Regional Insights: Provide insights into regional land markets, community dynamics and development constraints to help shape Tilt’s broader origination strategy.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in renewable energy development, land access, infrastructure development, property development or major project origination.
