About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experience solicitor to join our Employment team as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel
This position combines high-level advisory work with significant contentious matters, spanning the full employment lifecycle
Key Tasks
Undertake legal work and preparing advice for clients in relation to Employment matters, including:
- Executive employment structuring and tailored contractual arrangements
- Strategic management and enforcement of restraint and post-employment obligations
- Representation in unfair dismissal and general protections matters under the Fair Work framework
- Enterprise bargaining strategy and complex industrial negotiations
- Workplace disputes, conduct issues, and disciplinary risk management
- Sensitive investigations involving bullying, harassment, and discrimination
- WHS advisory, governance oversight, and response to critical incidents termination and redundancy
- Negotiating on behalf of clients and representing them in court / tribunal hearings.
- Keeping up to date with new developments in employment legislation.
- Any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience, as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel, with employment, industrial relations and workplace safety law.
- Strong research and analysis skills and ability to apply critical thinking.
- Self-sufficient, proactive work ethic, with the ability to manage own files in an efficient manner.
- Demonstrated experience in a highly focused client service environment, ability to build client relationships and gain a sound understanding of their needs.
- Current QLD practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
