Business Development and Marketing Team

As a service‐based business, our business development and marketing strategies are interwoven and act hand in glove. Core functional areas of Bids, Brand, Marketing, Comms, New Business work in tandem to provide a consistent and connected brand platform from which to communicate directly and indirectly with clients.

 

Working to better articulate value to clients, promote the ThomsonAdsett business, and blend the strengths of the studios in a compelling message to market, the team works collaboratively to deliver an integrated strategy aligned to the practice’s broader vision.

 

Position Overview

Supporting the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne studios for all new business activities.

Reporting to our Marketing and Submissions Coordinator and working day to day with Sector Leads and their supporting Principals across all sectors and disciplines, the role will be busy, dynamic and focused across the group.

Knowledge garnering and sharing, market monitoring, client research, lateral thinking and strategic approaches will be key expectations with the ability to respond to EOI, RFP, RFT, RFQ and prequalification requested within an established pitching framework.

You will work closely with the Principals related to the proposal in relation to the metric of sector, location and discipline.

Whilst the position is based in the Brisbane studio, the expectation is you will work with all studios across the practice.

 

Responsibilities

Bids

  • Daily monitoring and distribution of opportunities from tender portals within both public and private sector
  • Involvement in pitch strategy sessions, management of pitch production and final
  • Development of bid submissions in partnership with Principals
  • Management of Bid deadlines
  • Review including spelling, grammar, graphics and copy writing
  • Liaise, coordinate and integrate consultant information when required be able to work within tight timeframes and with deadline dependent workflow
  • Updating company CRM
  • Advanced use of InDesign
  • Maintain and update the bid library with new and evolving information relating to the company, people, sectors and projects
  • Contribute to the improvement of process

Marketing & PR – Brand representation

  • Contribute to innovative marketing campaigns
  • Update company collateral including project sheets, CV’s and Capability Statements
  • Coordinate photography
  • Contribute to social media posts
  • Updates to the website
  • Management and updates of Code Two email signature system
  • Awards submissions

 

Required Skills

  • InDesign Intermediate/Advanced
  • MS Office – Advanced
  • Excellent Time Management
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong copywriting skills are advantageous
  • Knowledge of design industry is advantageous

 

 

Works with

  • Principals across the practice on Business Development and Tenders
  • Submissions and Marketing Coordinator
  • Other shared services teams such as HR, IT and Finance on company related information, processes, activity and workflow

 

Part time position approx. 20 – 30 hours per week. Must be available on Fridays.
