Due to a recent internal promotion, Australia and New Zealand’s leading concert promoter, Frontier Touring, is looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This hands-on role will work closely with our Financial Controller and managers across the business to support accurate financial reporting, compliance and continuous improvement across the business and require you to work independently, think laterally and problem solve.

The key focus of your role will be to work with internal stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate financial information – including monthly and year end reporting. You will also play a key role in maintaining robust financial processes, supporting our tour accounting activities and ensuring the integrity of financial data across multiple systems.

Your Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Expenses & Compliance

• Oversight of the accounts receivable function

• Maintain controls, systems and procedures for AP/AR/Chart of accounts/Projects and inte-gration with expense management tool

• Manage subcontractor payments, including superannuation obligations

• Review weekly payment runs and ABA files

• Oversee bank reconciliations

• Oversee reconciliation of company-wide expenses and credit cards

• Ensure timely and accurate cost and project allocation

• Prepare BAS, ABS, PTR, WHT returns and other statutory reporting

• Assist with tax reconciliations and tax returns

Reporting & Month-End

• Prepare month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, deferrals and ensure accurate revenue recognition

• Perform interest calculations and loan account reconciliations

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including foreign currency revaluation

• Manage and maintain fixed asset register and depreciation

• Provide guidance on cashflow reporting, highlighting risks and timing issues

Audit & Financial Statements

• Assist with year-end audit processes

• Prepare General Purpose and Special Purpose Financial Statements

Continuous Improvement

• Assist with process improvement

• Provide ad hoc support across the Finance team as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Financial Management (or similar).

• CA or CPA qualified (or currently studying towards this qualification)

• 2-3 years experience ideally working in a professional accounting firm (audit or business ser-vices)

• Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB and/or Prospend (or similar)

• High attention to detail, confidence and a positive attitude.

• Strong accounting fundamentals and an ability to contribute to improving processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Strong sense of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism

• Comfortable working in a close-knit team and assisting and supporting colleagues by sharing your knowledge, information, and skills.

• Experience with Office 365 (Teams/Outlook/SharePoint).

• Intermediate level (or above) understanding of MS Excel

• Proactive and able to problem-solve.

• Strong ability to manage your time effectively across multiple tasks and to clearly identify the processes and steps that need to be taken to meet your role requirements and objectives.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid working model. The required office days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
