Digital Coordinator

South Melbourne, Victoria 3205, Australia • Full-time

Description

PLEASE NOTE THE SPECIFIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE BELOW

Join the Frontier Touring team:

Australia and New Zealand’s leading concert promoter Frontier Touring is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Digital Coordinator to join our Melbourne team.

This is a full-time hybrid position working onsite for a minimum of three days in our South Melbourne office from 9:30am – 6pm. The successful applicant will be a passionate digital marketer, with 2+ years proven experience in a similar role who is eager to apply their skills as well as learn more from some of the best in the industry.

The elevator pitch:  Reporting to the Digital Director, you’ll play a key role in the planning, execution, and maintenance of Frontier’s owned digital channels (inc. websites, databases, EDMs, owned social media channels, and other digital department tools) to drive ticket sales and increase growth and engagement across the Frontier business and our co-promote partners.

Most days there are multiple spinning plates for this varied role, and we need someone who has the experience to navigate this and make sure that nothing slips through the cracks. A strong initiative, attention to detail, interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability will be essential to your success in the role. With a busy year of touring ahead, we are looking for someone who is excited by this challenge, can hit the ground running and is genuinely interested in a long-term career in digital.

If the below sounds like your next job, we would love for you to apply.  Alongside your CV, please include a viewing/download link to a short video (2 mins max) telling us:

  • What motivated you to apply for the role

  • Who are three artists on your dream festival line-up + why

  • How does your prior experience make you a great fit for the position

We’re not expecting high production values for the video component of the application, this is just an opportunity to get to know you in a way that a CV or cover later may not get across. Please note that we won’t be considering any applications that don’t complete this part of the application process

About Frontier Touring:

Frontier Touring, part of the Mushroom Group, is one of the most highly respected, long-standing and proactive concert promoters in the world. Since its formation in late 1979, Frontier Touring has had a fundamental role in entertaining Australians and New Zealanders for more than four decades.

We are a close knit, fast-paced, and dedicated team who love live music, our industry, and working hard to make every tour a success. We tour a breadth of international and domestic artists – Foo Fighters, Lily Allen, Tame Impala, Kip Moore and Mia Wray are just a few of the tours that Frontier Touring will be bringing to our shores in the next 12 months.

About the role:

  • As a Digital Lead you will be responsible for coordinating Frontier’s owned digital channels and communications for your allocated tours; including website tour listings, EDM building, content creation, social media posting, creator outreach + community management.  While this role doesn’t book paid marketing it will work closely with our Marketing and Digital Advertising Leads.

  • The role requires creative thinking on engaging content and strategy, working collaboratively with our CMCO, Digital Director, Tour Directors and Marketing, Communications, Tour Ops and Ticketing Leads.

  • Report on campaign success by monitoring key metrics across website, social and EDMs and identify areas to improve results.

  • In collaboration, manage the creation, maintenance and/or update of digital third-party tools and assets.

  • Keep across and report on industry trends and compelling digital campaigns and implement new concepts as beneficial to the overall digital strategy.

  • In collaboration with the wider Digital team, conceptualise and execute digital strategy for audience-focused and non-tour-specific content across our owned digital channels.

  • Given the nature of the entertainment industry, there is a reasonable expectation that this role will be required to complete some tasks out of regular business hours.

  • As required attend concerts (or events/launches) in a work capacity out of regular business hours (the fruition of our work!).

About the successful candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years paid experience in a similar role.

  • Great organisational skills; your ability to multi-task and prioritise across a broad range of projects is crucial.

  • Ability to learn programs and processes quickly with consistent attention-to-detail – our working style is often fast-paced and constantly evolving in line with new technologies.

  • A love of music – in particular, live music!

  • Prior experience of social platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, etc. and creating content appropriate for each.

  • Prior experience of email marketing platforms such as MoEngage, Braze, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or similar.

  • Prior experience of building and updating a website via a CMS.

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills that can be adapted to the voice for each artist and their audience.

  • Creativity to devise and implement innovative and bespoke ideas to complement our standardised messaging throughout a tour’s lifespan.

  • A positive attitude and strong written and verbal communication skills that make you comfortable working with the wider team to talk through challenges, resolve problems and action feedback.

  • Confidence adapting to working with changing priorities and briefs.

  • Tech savvy with a thorough understanding and interest in current and forthcoming technologies.

Only people who have existing eligible working rights for Australia will be considered for this role.
