About the Role
This is a hands-on, innovation-centric role at the heart of our New Product Development (NPD) process. You’ll support the entire product lifecycle from blue-sky concepts to first production runs collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure every product not only meets but exceeds expectations for quality, compliance and market appeal. Your strong grasp of complementary medicines, food science, creativity, and project management will be vital in helping us scale smartly and deliver products our customers love.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of NPS & Quality to develop and commercialise new product formulations across multiple different wellness formats
- Translate consumer insights and market trends into formulation briefs and concept proposals
- Support formulation trials, shelf-life studies, ingredient sourcing and product sampling activities
- Coordinate and document pilot trials and production scale-ups with internal and external partners
- Prepare and manage product specifications, formulation documents, and supplier ingredient records
- Ensure compliance with FSANZ, TGA and international labelling and formulation requirements
- Maintain accurate project timelines, briefs and status updates to ensure on-time launches
- Assist in packaging development, flavour selection and sensory testing panels
- Investigate innovative ingredients, delivery systems and technology trends that align with brand values
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product quality, cost optimisation and innovation processes
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree-qualified in Pharmaceutical Science, Formulation Chemistry or a related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in product development within the food, beverage, nutraceutical or functional wellness industries
- Demonstrated experience supporting formulation or R&D projects from concept to launch
- Exceptional project coordination, documentation and communication skills
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP and relevant food/pharma regulations (FSANZ, TGA, FDA)
- Creative problem-solver with a keen interest in trends, functionality and innovation
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Marketing, Procurement, Sales and external manufacturers
