You’ll lead a small, high-performing finance team (Senior Accountant, Accountant, and Accounts Payable Officer) while driving scalable processes in a dynamic scale-up environment.
This is a true business-partnering role where you’ll balance strategic oversight with operational execution, particularly in cost accounting, NetSuite optimisation, and providing actionable insights to fuel growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee financial accounting, balance sheet integrity and management reporting across the business.
- Manage and develop the finance team, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and scalability as we grow.
- Maintain robust internal controls, compliance frameworks and drive process improvements to support business growth.
- Oversee statutory compliance and the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Drive post-implementation optimisation of NetSuite ERP.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury activities, ensuring strong working capital management.
- Manage manufacturing finance and cost accounting, including product costing, inventory valuation and margin analysis.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to drive cost efficiencies and improve gross margins.
- Support the CFO and department heads with budgeting, forecasting, financial insights and strategic decision-making.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with a degree in Accounting/Finance.
8+ years of experience in financial accounting or controllership roles within a manufacturing, FMCG or consumer goods environment.
Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience (implementation, optimisation, and advanced modules highly regarded).
Proven track record managing finance teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge across Australian and New Zealand accounting standards including statutory reporting, GST/BAS, and multi-currency consolidations.
-
Excellent business partnering skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic recommendations.
