The Cairnmillar Institute is seeking to appoint a Recruitment & Admissions Officer to join our Student Services team within the Faculty of Psychology, Counselling & Psychotherapy. This role is central to building Cairnmillar’s future student pipeline and delivering a smooth, responsive and compliant admissions process.
Reporting to the Student Services Manager, you will manage prospective student enquiries and leads, provide clear pre-enrolment advice, assess applications, and support offer and enrolment processing. You’ll also contribute to recruitment events, maintain accurate CRM and student management records, and assist with required regulatory and accreditation compliance activities.
Key focus areas include:
• Managing and converting prospective student enquiries and leads across phone, email and online channels
• Providing accurate course and admissions advice and supporting future student decision-making
• Processing and assessing applications in line with policies, delegations and regulatory requirements
• Maintaining clean, accurate admissions/enrolment data and supporting conversion and turnaround reporting
• Supporting recruitment events, communications and faculty initiatives across peak admission periods
The successful candidate will have:
• A strong commitment to high-quality, student-centred customer service
• Demonstrated administrative experience in a high-volume environment, with excellent organisational skills
• Confidence using CRM / student management systems to manage enquiries, leads and applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain policies clearly
• High attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines
• Strong digital literacy (Microsoft Office and collaborative platforms such as SharePoint/M365)
• Experience in higher education or an RTO setting, and familiarity with admissions compliance systems (desirable)________________________________________
