The Cairnmillar Institute is seeking a Placement and Projects Officer to join our Student Services team. This pivotal administrative role supports the delivery and coordination of postgraduate psychology and counselling courses, with a strong focus on clinical placements and professional training. You’ll work closely with placement coordinators, students, and academic staff to ensure effective operations across all placement-related processes. As the first point of contact for student placement enquiries, you’ll play a key part in creating a positive student experience, maintaining essential records, supporting compliance, and contributing to the ongoing success of our professional programs. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with people, and has a commitment to service excellence.

The successful candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience/training)
- Experience in an administrative role within higher education (ideally in psychology or counselling)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with office management software and student information systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability
