Team Leader (Workshop)

About the role:

The Team Leader plays a key operational role within the workshop providing on-shift supervision and ensuring daily activities run safely, efficiently, and in an organised manner. This hands-on position involves overseeing workflow, supporting other workers, and coordinating shift tasks while also performing a wide range of operational duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, support and supervise the operations team
• Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow
• Oversee order preparation and ensure accuracy before dispatch
• Coordinate production schedules and workshop resources
• Deliver efficient and effective work practices to ensure production capacity and meet deadlines
• Operate forklift and other machinery for loading and unloading sheet piles, machinery, and other products
• Perform general labouring tasks including handling, storing, and distributing materials
• Carry out general administrative duties to support daily operations

What you’ll need:

• Experience as a Team Leader or in a similar supervisory role within a workshop, warehouse, or production environment
• Cert IV in Leadership & Management or equivalent (desirable)
• Forklift (LF) license
• Excellent organisational skills
• Willingness to perform a variety of operational functions, including supervising, production tasks and operations tasks

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
