✨ Disability Support Worker – 1:1 Support (Family Home Environment) ✨

We’re looking for someone vibrant, energetic, and genuinely passionate about making a positive difference in someone’s life. We are looking for someone who is available Monday, Tuesday and every second Thursday in the community with some weekend work and overnight on occasions.

This role supports a young participant living at home with his family, focusing on social connection, building confidence, community engagement and working towards personal goals.

1:1 support within the family home and out in the community

Encouraging meaningful connection, fun activities and positive routines

Supporting the participant to work towards his goals in a structured yet enjoyable way

Providing consistent, uplifting presence for both the participant and family

Goal-driven and able to motivate and guide the participant

Reliable, patient and respectful of family dynamics

Confident with communication and building strong rapport

Able to think creatively when planning activities and experiences

⭐ Requirements

Experience in disability support or working with young people

NDIS Worker Screening & Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

First Aid & CPR

Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle preferred

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and community integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Help clients with mobility and transportation needs
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions
  • Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in disability support or related field preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviors and situations
  • Knowledge of disability rights and advocacy
