Join Taldumande Youth Services, a leading not-for-profit supporting young people aged 12–24 experiencing homelessness and family breakdown. Through our accommodation and outreach programs, we help young people build independence and long-term stability.

About the role

We’re seeking two organised and people-focused Receptionist/ Administration Officers to share this role in a collaborative job-share arrangement.

Together, you will ensure full reception coverage Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm), with a midweek overlap to support handover and teamwork.

Work patterns:

Option 1: Monday–Wednesday (22.8 hours per week)

  • Monday to Wednesday: 7.6 hours per day

Option 2: Wednesday–Friday (22.8 hours per week)

  • Wednesday to Friday: 7.6 hours per day

👉 Flexibility to cover leave and occasionally adjust days is essential.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Be the first point of contact for young people, visitors, and stakeholders
  • Manage phone calls and enquiries with professionalism and care
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and take minutes
  • Provide general admin support (data entry, records, mail)
  • Maintain rent ledgers and internal documentation
  • Support events, fundraising, and donations
  • Coordinate office supplies and maintenance
  • Liaise with trades and assist with property admin
  • Maintain a welcoming and organised office environment
  • Ensure smooth handovers with your job-share partner
  • Adhoc Admin / HR support duties.

 

What you’ll bring

Skills & experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in reception or administration
  • Certificate IV in Business
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel essential)
  • SharePoint
  • Experience taking meeting minutes

 

Desirable

  • Canva skills

 

Requirements

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend off-site properties (e.g. refugee accommodation) for Occasional WHS inspections.
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid Certificate if required
  • Working with Children Check & Police Check
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training
