We are currently recruiting for two permanent roles within our Guest Services team for individuals capable of undertaking supervisory responsibilities.

Guest Services Sales Supervisor (Full Time)

We are seeking a full-time Guest Services Sales Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Retail and Admissions areas at Symbio Wildlife Park.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment, enjoys supporting a team, and takes pride in delivering excellent guest experiences.

This position sits above our Guest Services Sales Assistants, providing supervision and operational support, however it is not a management role.

Important: The advertised roles are Guest Services roles and are not related to animal care or zookeeping, nor do they provide a pathway into zookeeping roles. We are seeking applicants who are passionate about guest experience, retail, and visitor services. If your career goal is to become a zookeeper, this position would not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of Admissions and Retail
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to the Guest Services team
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and confidently engage with guests
  • Assist with cash handling and end-of-day cash-ups
  • Support inventory management and stock control
  • Assist with administrative tasks including bookings, phone enquiries, and emails
  • Help maintain a positive and energetic team environment

About the Role

  • Roster: Sunday – Thursday

There may be future opportunities to grow into a Team Leader role for the right candidate. However, applicants should apply with the expectation of the roles outlined above, rather than anticipating immediate progression to a Team Leader position.

Guest Services Sales Assistant

(Full Time or Part Time Opportunity)

We are also seeking a Guest Services Sales Assistant to join our team in a customer-facing role across Admissions and Retail.

Availability Requirements

Applicants must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays as part of their roster.

Preferred roster patterns include:

  • Tuesday – Saturday, or
  • Wednesday – Saturday
  • If part-time – Shifts must cover either opening or closing hours at a minimum, with both opening and closing coverage required on Fridays and Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Process ticket sales and retail transactions
  • Assist with guest enquiries in person, via phone and email
  • Support retail presentation and stock management
  • Assist with general guest services operations

This role will also act as the supervisor in the absence of the Guest Services Sales Supervisor, so applicants should be confident stepping into a leadership role when required.
