Surf Life Saving Queensland is seeking a passionate, organised and community‑minded Lifesaving Services Coordinator to help drive high‑quality lifesaving and emergency response services across the North Barrier Region. What You’ll Do:
- Provide guidance, supervision and operational support to lifesaving clubs across the North Barrier Region.
- Collaborate closely with Club Captains, Branch Officers and regional leadership to strengthen service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with volunteers, councils and emergency services.
- Oversee compliance, operational planning and quality assurance for lifesaving activities.
- Conduct audits, analyse service gaps and help drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain and update regional Lifesaving Service Plans.
- Support incident reviews and contribute to emergency response coordination.
- Prepare accurate reports for regional and branch leadership.
- Positively represent the SLSQ brand and promote community engagement.
About You:
Essential
- Blue Card (Working with Children) (or the ability to obtain)
- Driver Licence
- Bronze Medallion / Cert II Public Safety (or ability to obtain)
- Advanced Resuscitation & First Aid certificates (or the ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Flexibility for occasional weekend and evening work to attend meetings, carnivals and assist the branch and club volunteers
Desirable
- Knowledge of surf lifesaving operations or similar community‑based programs
