Supports with Integrity is seeking a passionate and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Hastings, VIC.
We also have participants in Boronia, VIC which we require support worker for also. This candidate will need to be able to work in the LGBT+ community.
Supports with Integrity service the Mornington Peninsula, including Rosebud and Hastings, Boronia and Cranbourne/Clyde.
This is a casual role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital part in empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities to live their best lives.
What you’ll be doing
Providing personalized support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and community participation
Engaging clients in meaningful activities and outings to promote their independence, social inclusion, and overall wellbeing
Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care
Collaborating with the wider care team to implement and monitor individual support plans
Advocating for the rights and needs of the individuals you support
What we’re looking for
A demonstrated commitment to the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities
Previous experience in a similar role, such as a disability support worker, personal care assistant, or community support worker
A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the individuals you support
A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle (desirable)
