heritage property and bar in the heart of Hobart’s CBD. We also operate The Old
Woolstore Apartment Hotel, a multiple award-winning accommodation hotel. We are conveniently located near Hobart’s CBD and famous waterfront, offering 242 hotel rooms and spacious apartments along with Stockman’s Restaurant, the Baaa Bar, and a comprehensive range of meeting and event facilities. We’re looking for motivated Food & Beverage Bar Attendants to join our team on a casual basis –
opportunities for advancement may be available for the right candidate.
Led by Guest Service Manager Lizzie Iles, The Orient Bar celebrates the best of Tasmania through a curated selection of local beverages and thoughtfully designed share plates. Our menu
is built around fresh, seasonal produce, showcasing the unique flavours of the region.
You’ll be part of a team delivering warm, attentive service in a vibrant bar setting that values
quality, local connections, and genuine hospitality.

You will be responsible for serving guests with Old World charm and a passion for delivering an art and storytelling hospitality experience, ensuring service consistently meets customer expectations, operational objectives, and safety standards. You will take pride in providing exceptional guest experiences, maintaining a warm, engaging, and friendly approach to high-quality service, often in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to contribute effectively to both bar service and events within a high-performing team.
About you:
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Excellent communication skills and team-focused approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service
- Previous experience in a similar bar role
- A genuine passion for food and beverage products
- Committed to delivering consistently high standards in presentation and service
Flexibility is essential as shifts will include days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
