The Role:
We are looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to manage
and grow strategic retail partnerships while delivering strong commercial
outcomes across a portfolio of globally recognised brands.
This role is responsible for leading customer planning, promotional strategy, demand
forecasting, trade investment and P&L delivery across assigned accounts.
Acting as a key commercial interface between the customer and our internal
teams, you will work closely with Sales, Category, Brand, Finance and Supply
Chain to drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Management & Relationship Building
- Act as the primary commercial contact for designated national retail accounts.
- Build strong, collaborative partnerships through regular engagement, business reviews, and joint planning.
- Lead negotiations and drive outcomes across ranging, pricing and promotional strategies.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Take accountability for delivering P&L outcomes including net sales, trade spend and gross margin.
- Manage promotional investment effectively to ensure strong return on investment.
- Work closely with Finance to resolve pricing and promotional claim discrepancies.
Promotional Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute promotional programs aligned to customer calendars and business priorities.
- Manage submissions through customer systems such as Partner Hub and PMR.
- Analyse promotional performance and implement data-driven improvements.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Own forecasting for assigned customers and categories to maintain high forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and planning teams to ensure continuity of supply.
- Support forecasting and planning for new product launches and SKU transitions.
Category & Business Support
- Partner with Category and Brand teams to deliver compelling insights and range review presentations.
- Maintain accurate business systems including cycle plans, promotional trackers and ranging data.
- Support the National Business Manager and wider sales team with reporting and business planning.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a commercially minded National Account Manager with strong
FMCG experience and the ability to drive growth through strategic customer
partnerships.
You’ll combine strong analytical and financial capability with excellent relationship
management and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience in National or Key Account Management within FMCG, managing major retail customers.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing P&L, pricing and trade spend.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capability with strong analytical and forecasting skills.
- A creative commercial thinker who is willing to challenge the status quo and bring fresh ideas to customers and internal teams.
