Starick is a not-for-profit organisation operating primarily in the Perth Metropolitan South-East Corridor. Starick supports women, children and young people experiencing and escaping family and domestic violence across the continuum of prevention, early intervention, crisis and healing.

About the Role

This position is part of an innovative partnership pilot project between Starick and Anglicare WA to provide specialist responses to family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV) in multiple GP Clinics across the Southeast Metro.

Working as part of an integrated team, you will provide direct support to child and adult victim-survivors while building the capacity of GP Clinics to respond to FDSV. You will work collaboratively with GP clinic staff to integrate case work practice and systems, conduct risk assessments and safety planning, and facilitate effective referral pathways to specialist FDSV services.

Your role will be instrumental in fostering a whole-of-practice FDSV-aware culture within GP clinics while ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed support for individuals impacted by FDSV.

This is a max term, full-time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity until 31st March 2027.

About You

You are a passionate and skilled professional eager to deliver quality services to clients in collaboration with partner organisation, Anglicare. To excel in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology

• Experience working with FDSV and/or child sexual abuse victims/survivors in case management

• Demonstrated skills in assessing and managing ongoing risk when working with victim-survivors

• Strong knowledge of current FDSV theories, practice and literature, including understanding of intergenerational trauma

• Ability to build effective relationships and referral pathways with diverse stakeholders

• The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance (valid within one year), Working with Children Check, and a WA Driver’s Licence.
