About The Role
Star Property Maintenance is on the lookout for an experienced Site supervisor to oversee the daily level of a work site to ensure a high level of performance and compliance with health and safety guidelines. The successful candidate must ensure that the work is completed on time, within budget and to the specified quality standard. In addition to managing and scheduling subcontractors work, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating material deliveries, communicate with the project managers and other stakeholders, supervisors and safe equipment use.
You must have a can-do attitude, be flexible, and be able to work under pressure at times.
Skills Required:
• Minimum of two years’ experience within the building, construction and/or general maintenance industry
• Experience of leading, motivating and managing teams to deliver positive outcomes.
• Customer service focused with a positive attitude and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending on the audience.
• Ability in leading, motivating and managing teams.
• Solid understanding and ability to use computer software such Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Solid ability to use mobile phone apps
• Willingness to assist and support others as required to achieve common goals.
• Proactive nature with an eye for detail and ability to use own initiative.
• Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia
• Excellent understanding of Dial Before You Dig
• Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment and accomplish objectives effectively within the timeframe given.
• Sound working knowledge and understanding of current Work, Health & Safety including Risk Assessments
Additional Position Requirements/Inclusions
• You will have full responsibility of reporting to an office-based manager
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Business Management, Engineering, or any related discipline
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Asbestos Awareness Training
• Valid Police Check
• Driving License
• $75k – $85k (within these range) + super
• Immediate start
