Gardener

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our outdoor spaces. The Gardener will work closely with our landscaping team to ensure that our gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Responsibilities:

• Mowing multiple lawns per day
• Gardener duties including the management of a small gardening team and the coordination and delegation of tasks to team members
• Handling of any health and safety matters as and when they arise and participating in toolbox talks
• Safe loading and unloading of Company truck
• Re-fuelling of Company truck as and when required
• Reporting of any issues on client sites to the main office
• Safely use and take care of powered equipment such as push on mower, zero turn ride on mowers, blower, whipper snipper, edging machines and rotary hoes.—- Undertake routine duties such as:
• Mowing of lawns
• Removal of rubbish and/or green waste
• Blowing of leaves
• Edging of grass
• Cutting of hedges
• Cutting, pruning and shaping of plants and small trees
• Weed poisoning
• Use of manual secateurs
• Follow and understand Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) on sites

Qualifications:

• At least three year’s experience as a garden crew member/in grounds maintenance using powered equipment and hand tools
• Australian Driving License
• Safety conscious attitude
• Be a team player and willing to work hard.
• Hold a current police check or willing to obtain.
• Must be vaccinated of COVID vaccine.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Background in property maintenance or garden maintenance, mowing, edging, snipping, weeding, mulching, planting, pruning and other gardening related to task associated with gardening maintenance.
• Must be confident in towing a trailer
• WHS White Card is must
• Australian Driver License is must
• Working rights in Australia is must
