We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Finance Manager to join our team.
This is a rare opportunity to apply your finance expertise in a role with genuine purpose and influence. Working closely with the CFO, you will play a key role in strengthening financial control,
governance, reporting, and systems across the organisation. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy operating in a hands-on environment, taking ownership of core finance processes, and supporting leaders with clear, practical financial insight.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely month-end close, reconciliations, analysis,
commentary and data integrity.
- Oversee cash flow, general financial management, and reporting.
- Prepare accurate management reports, dashboards, and financial insights.
- Maintain compliance with legislation, accounting standards, policies, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors and other service providers.
- Support budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Analyse costs, allocations, and margins.
- Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
- Drive automation and system improvement.
- Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
About You
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role, with strong exposure to financial reporting, control, and month-end processes.
- Experience in a not-for-profit, health, education, or similarly service-based environment will be well regarded.
- Experience in management accounting, financial control, or a similar senior finance position.
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- A high level of accuracy, reliability, and sound professional judgement.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded, and candidates nearing
completion will also be considered.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
Essential Requirements
To work with us, you must:
- Possess or be willing to acquire or provide a National Police Check issued within the last six months.
- Possess or be willing to acquire a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration.
- Hold an unrestricted Australian Driver’s licence.
- Be an Australian Resident or hold a valid Australian working visa.
