Trades Assistant

Southern Premium Vineyards (SPV) owns and operates wine grape vineyards in Australia’s finest and most productive wine grape regions including the Barossa Valley, Clare and Limestone Coast regions of South Australia and the Riverina in New South Wales. Established in 2021, SPV offers wine producers a grape supply solution for their wine grape sourcing as an alternative to owning or leasing vineyards.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a general trades assistant, or someone with diesel/agricultural equipment and welding experience, to join our maintenance team based in the Griffith, NSW. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting our maintenance team with the upkeep of our extensive fleet of vineyard equipment. You will work on machinery such as tractors, tow-behind harvesters, self-propelled harvesters, vineyards sprayers and motor vehicles.

ABOUT YOU:

You will be keen to utilise your experience in mechanics and ideally have previous exposure to agricultural equipment.

We are looking for someone who is looking to build on their experience in agricultural mecchanics and has a strong work ethic. You show real commitment to getting things done right and keeping safety first.

You will either possess a qualification in the field, or have experience gained on the job in similar positions. Training and support will be provided, as is an excellent salary, benefits and tools of trade.
