About the Role
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the Exploration Geologist will support the delivery of an expanding drilling program at Sunday Creek, with a strong focus on diamond core logging, drill program execution and geological interpretation.
You’ll work closely with senior geologists and contractors to ensure safe, efficient drilling operations while contributing to targeting, data interpretation and exploration planning.
What You’ll Drive
🔸 Diamond core logging to a high technical standard
🔸 Assisting with drill rig supervision and contractor coordination
🔸 Interpretation of geological, geochemical and geophysical data
🔸 Assessment of exploration results and recommendations for follow-up work
🔸 Target generation and contribution to geological models
🔸 Maintaining QA/QC standards and data quality
🔸 Promoting safe work practices across field activities

Who You Are

Your Background
✔ Bachelor of Science (Geology or equivalent)
✔ Minimum 2 years’ experience in mineral exploration
✔ Diamond core logging experience
✔ Understanding of drilling, sampling and QA/QC practices
✔ Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Highly regarded:
✔ Orogenic or epithermal gold experience
✔ Victorian geology knowledge
✔ Experience with Leapfrog, QGIS or similar software
