About the Role and Team
You will be joining the Insurance Claims Team, a high-performing group responsible for managing end-to-end motor claims on behalf of insurers. The team brings deep expertise in policy interpretation, compliance, liability assessment, and technical claims handling. Our structured claims process spans lodgement, settlement, recovery, and complex claims, ensuring efficient and customer-focused outcomes.
As a Claims Consultant – Motor Insurance, you will manage a portfolio of motor insurance claims, following initial lodgement through to final resolution. This includes assessing liability, coordinating repairs, settling involved parties, and handling complex claims. You will work closely with clients, repairers, assessors, and third parties to deliver a seamless and empathetic claims experience.

What you’ll do
- Manage end-to-end motor insurance claims, following lodgement through to final settlement
- Assess liability, coordinate repairs, and engage with assessors, investigators, and third parties
- Interpret and apply policy terms accurately to ensure fair and consistent outcomes
- Maintain detailed and compliant claim documentation, including notes, reserves, and correspondence
- Identify and investigate fraud scenarios where applicable
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers, keeping them informed throughout the claims process
- Ensure claims are resolved efficiently and meeting service level expectations whilst meeting compliance obligations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support timely and effective claim resolution
- Contribute to a positive team culture through active participation in meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in motor insurance claims, ideally within a technical or complex claims environment
- Strong understanding of motor vehicle repair processes and insurance policy interpretation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a commitment to continuous improvement

We offer a hybrid working model, with 1 to 2 days per week in our Melbourne CBD office. To support your onboarding, the initial 2 to 3 weeks of training will be delivered fully on-site.
