Role Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Sports Turf Manager to oversee the presentation and performance of elite sporting surfaces. This is a high-impact role responsible for maintaining multiple ovals and training fields used by athletes ranging from grassroots to professional level.
You’ll lead the delivery of premium turf management across a large, multi-facility site, ensuring surfaces are safe, high-performing, and event-ready year-round. The role involves hands-on turf work alongside planning, scheduling, and team leadership, working across a diverse environment that includes multi-purpose ovals, athletics areas, and high-use training spaces.
So, what duties can you expect to do?
- Operate cylinder mowers across high quality commercial turf sites
- Use precision equipment for mowing, marking and renovations
- Monitor turf health and irrigation, driving site improvements
- Apply fertilisers and pest control with accuracy and care
- Maintain strong WHS standards across all works and teams
- Liaise with clients and report on field condition and progress
- Plan and deliver seasonal turf programs and event preparation
- Carry out aeration, scarifying, dethatching and turf recovery
- Oversee turf installs, drainage works and softscape upgrades
- Maintain surrounding landscapes, hedging and presentation
- Identify improvements to lift turf quality and site performance
What will you need?
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management Or equivalent preferred
- Driver’s licence (Manual or Automatic)
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
