Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant/Groundsman with experience to both sports turf and parks & gardens maintenance to support a large independent co-educational school in Truganina. This role requires hands-on experience maintaining sports ovals, athletic fields, landscaped grounds and garden areas to a high presentation and safety standard.
What duties can you expect to do?
- Maintain turf and gardens to high presentation standards
- Mow, edge, prune, plant and mulch across site
- Assist with field prep, line marking and turf repairs
- Apply fertilisers, treatments and weed/pest control
- Monitor turf health, soil and irrigation systems
- Support seasonal works and site improvements
- Maintain and check irrigation performance
- Complete pre-starts, paperwork and daily reports
- Follow WHS procedures and report hazards
- Work with team to meet site standards
What will you need?
- Driver’s Licence and own transport
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
