Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the daily grounds maintenance operations at a high-profile site in Jimboomba. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a small team, maintain landscaped areas to a high standard, and ensure all site works are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day care and presentation of a high-profile, award-winning grounds/site.
  • Operate and supervise the use of modern grounds equipment including zero-turn mowers, brush cutters, and blowers.
  • Carry out hands-on grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and fertilising.
  • Plan daily schedules and workflows to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Complete site documentation including pre-starts, daily reports, Take 5s, and SWMS.
  • Monitor plant, turf, and soil health and apply treatments where required.
  • Maintain irrigation systems including programming, adjustments, and basic fault finding across the campus..
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high presentation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and raise proactive solutions for the site.
  • Ensure WHS procedures are followed and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Train and support junior team members and apprentices.

What will you need

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens (preferred)
  • Current Driver’s Licence (Manual or Automatic) and reliable transport

  • National Police Check (required or willingness to obtain)

  • Working With Children Check (required or willingness to obtain)
