We are not just looking for someone who uses AI to write code. We are looking for someone who writes code to build AI applications.
We are seeking a Senior Python AI Engineer who has crossed the chasm from traditional software development to building production-grade applications powered by LLMs, specifically Anthropic’s Claude.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a builder. You will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated Python applications that seamlessly integrate with Claude (via public APIs or locally trained models) to deliver complex reasoning and content generation features. You will be building the “brain” of the application, wrapping it in robust RESTful JSON APIs, and ensuring it can scale effectively in a cloud environment to handle real-world traffic.

Key Responsibilities
- Build AI-Integrated Applications: Design and develop Python applications that leverage Claude AI for core functionality, managing the integration between deterministic code and non-deterministic LLM outputs.
- API Development: Architect and build high-performance RESTful JSON APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django to serve AI features to frontend and third-party consumers.
- Scale for Production: Engineer the application to handle high concurrency and latency challenges inherent in LLM-based apps, ensuring the system scales efficiently within a cloud environment.
- Prompt Engineering & Context Management: Implement advanced strategies for managing context windows, prompt optimization, and output validation to ensure reliability.
- Cloud Architecture: Deploy and manage the application infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between the Python backend, the LLM provider, and data storage.
- Technical Leadership: Champion the best practices for building LLM-backed software, helping the wider team understand the nuances of this emerging stack.
Skills and Experience
Required:
- Production AI Experience: You have built and deployed applications that use Claude (Anthropic) or similar high-performance LLMs as a core component. You understand the Anthropic API, SDKs, and how to build software around a model.
- Python Framework Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Python, with deep commercial experience in web frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- API Engineering: Strong experience designing and documenting RESTful JSON APIs. You know how to structure endpoints, handle serialization, and manage API lifecycles.
- Cloud Scaling: Proven experience building applications that scale. You understand containerization (Docker), load balancing, and how to manage resources in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP) under high load.
- Data Handling: Experience working with data storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL) required to persist conversation history or context for the AI.
- Engineering Rigour: You treat AI apps like software products—focusing on testing, reliability, observability, and security.
Preferred:
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns and Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector).
- Experience fine-tuning models or running locally trained LLMs.
- Knowledge of LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks (though we value the ability to write raw Python integrations).
