We’re looking for an enthusiastic lawyer to join the Property team in our Brisbane office. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to move to a firm with a strong history of career progression.
You will bring a positive and proactive approach to providing quality legal advice and exceptional client service.
Your new role
You will bring a positive and proactive approach to exceptional client service and producing high quality work. Your variety of work will include:
- Take carriage of your own files
- Advise clients on legal and technical issues
- Build and promote strong client relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Providing legal advice to buyers and sellers on residential, commercial and rural matters
- Contract preparation and negotiation
- Transactional advice
- Preparation of leases and provision of tailored leasing advice
- General property matters
- Regularly attend seminars and events contributing to your professional development and marketing the firm
- Provide support within the team to achieve client and firm financial outcomes
You will bring to the role:
- 2-4 years’ experience and knowledge in property and/or commercial law essential
- A proactive, pragmatic and client-focused approach
- Exceptional communication and client service
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively both independently and within a team
- Confidence in your communications and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues
- Confidence with a range of technology and in learning new systems
- Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
- Experience using practice management systems (including Actionstep) highly regarded but not essential
