The Role:
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role
in effectively and efficiently planning and delivering projects in a way that
meet and exceed client and contract expectations. Reporting to our National Manager Projects,
your key responsibilities will include:
- Civil & Disaster Recovery Projects are delivered using SHEPHERD’s proven systems
to ensure that all contractual, regulatory and client requirements are met.
- Resources are managed effectively to ensure the Safety, Quality and timeliness for each
project.
- Supervision of works is undertaken to ensure compliance with relevant specifications
producing a result that will benefit the client and their community for many
years to come.
- Relationships are established with regional clients with clients aware of the full service
offering of SHEPHERD.
About You:
We are specifically seeking candidates with prior local government or civil project management experience who are passionate about delivering quality infrastructure projects that benefit communities. You will bring to the role:
- Minimum 8 years’ project management experience, preferably in local government, with expertise in
compliance, stakeholder management, and multi-site operations.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Project Management.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, construction methods, local regulations, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects, competing deadlines, and a dispersed workforce, maintaining a safety-first approach.
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence, White Card, First Aid/CPR
Willingness to travel and work regionally (FIFO or DIDO on either a 5/2 roster or 10/4 roster,
depending on project requirements)
