Senior Merchandise Planner – Fashion Apparel

Based at our Head Office in Cromer, we are seeking a Merchandise Planner to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving sales and profitability by developing and delivering merchandise plans that support the wider business strategy.

Working collaboratively with our Buying, Marketing, and Retail teams, you will use data, insights, and performance analysis to ensure our merchandise strategy aligns with commercial objectives, customer demand, and overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage merchandise plans and forecasting models using sales data and market trends
• Build and maintain assortments that drive sales while meeting inventory and margin targets
• Partner with Buyers to optimise inventory levels and ensure strong product availability across eCommerce and retail
• Analyse sales performance, stock levels and historical data to forecast demand and guide replenishment strategies
• Monitor key performance metrics including sell-through, inventory turn and gross margin
• Identify opportunities to improve category performance and profitability
• Manage product performance, restocks, markdowns, merchandising reports and promotional calendars
• Produce and distribute retail merchandising reports, providing clear insights into store performance, stock health and opportunities
• Deliver daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting to Buying, Marketing and Retail teams

About You:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in merchandise planning, forecasting or inventory management within a retail environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear, commercial decisions
• Confident communicator who works effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using merchandising or planning systems
