About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent part time (30 hours per week) Billing and Accounts Officer to join our team, located in Strathpine. This is an excellent opportunity to join a purpose-led organisation where your work directly contributes to positive community outcomes.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Billing and Accounts Officer works closely with the Finance and Operation Teams, to contribute to smooth day-to-day financial operations, in particular around account receivable, client billing and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records for each participant in line with NDIS Practice Standards.

- Administer all accounts receivable processes across our NDIS participants.

- Review Service Bookings, Funding Schedules, and budget allocations to ensure accurate invoicing.

- Issue NDIS compliant invoices in accordance with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements.

- Monitor overdue accounts and ensure invoices are paid on time.

- Resolve payment delays, declined invoices, and disputes in a timely manner.

- Escalate any risk to the financial controller.

- Assist with daily operations of the finance team, responding to email and phone enquiries.
About you:

- Demonstrated experience in NDIS onboarding and billing.

- Strong understanding of NDIS plan types, budgets, and price limits.

- Minimum 2-3 years experience in billing and accounts receivable.

- Minimum of Certificate IV in accounting or working towards.

- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

- Advance skills in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel. Previous experience with PACE or Xero – highly regarded.

- Hold, or be able to obtain a NDIS workers screening check and working with children check.

- Have the rights to work in Australia.
