Position Vacant: Carpenter
Location: Alberton Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)

About the Role SEQ Formwork is seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join its team on a full-time basis. This role involves a broad range of carpentry duties across residential and light commercial projects, requiring a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber and other materials
  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures including frameworks, formwork, walls, flooring, and roofing components
  • Carry out renovations, alterations, and maintenance works as required
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Liaise with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and safety practices
  • Experience across a range of carpentry tasks including framing, formwork, and finishing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
  • Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
