What would your day-to-day look like?
As an Investment Accountant you’ll work closely with the Investment Accounting Manager to manage critical investment operations, financial reporting, and trust accounting. You’ll play a vital role in providing accurate financial analysis, performance reporting, and insights that contribute to our organisation’s continued success.

About Us

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations within our 18 investment portfolios
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and performance reporting packs, including profit & loss, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
- Process investment transactions, including distributions, redemptions, asset disposals and asset acquisitions
- Assist with investor enquiries
- Monitor capital expenditure against budgets and maintenance of capital expenditure and fixed asset registers
- Monitor debt facilities, ensuring compliance of ICR, LVR and any other conditions of the debt facilities
- Coordinate and prepare Covenant Compliance reporting for debt facilities
- Prepare BAS lodgements on a monthly or quarterly basis
- Review annual financial statements and tax returns for the investment trusts.
- Ensure accurate and timely NAV calculations for investment trusts
- Prepare trust budgets and cashflow forecasts.
- Assist with external audit preparations for investment trusts
- Monitor compliance with investment mandate requirements
- Liaise with property managers, external stakeholders, and service providers
- Identify and implement process improvements for investment accounting functions
- Support the Investment Accounting Manager, Financial Controller and CFO with ad-hoc queries
Are you someone with?
- Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accounting
- CPA/CA qualification
- Previous experience in Investment Accounting, Fund Accounting, Unit Pricing or Investment Operations
- Experience in MRI Property Software (desirable) and Xero
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling capabilities
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision making
- Knowledge of property investment structures and trust accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent time management skills
- Critical thinking and the ability to look at problems from different angles
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
