Senses WA is a leading profit for purpose organisation providing disability services specialising in supporting the deafblind community in Western Australia since 1895. Our purpose is to build capacity by providing comprehensive services, specialising in sensory loss, positive behaviour support and children’s therapies.

We focus on recruiting the right people and providing targeted training so we can thoughtfully match individuals with disability to support workers who empower them to explore new experiences, build meaningful community connections, develop independent living skills, and live fulfilling lives. We are seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers who genuinely want to make a positive difference — if this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience supporting people with disability, including personal care and daily living assistance
  • Confidence supporting participants with complex needs, including mobility support and manual handling
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build respectful, professional relationships
  • Resilient, patient and able to manage challenging situations with a person-centered approach
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and digital systems for rosters, case notes and incident reporting
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WA Working with Children Check, and a valid driver’s licence with insured vehicle

Desirable

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or similar
  • Proficiency in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) or experience supporting deaf or hard-of-hearing participants
  • Additional training in behaviour support, medication administration, or other complex needs
